Be A Part Of The Solution
Once the only preK - 12 school in the County, now the Garden Valley school is the oldest and most over crowded. The upcoming 12.625 million dollar school bond, if passed, will provide our kids new classrooms and will replace the existing portable classrooms. The new facility would include a multipurpose room/cafeteria, a stage for assemblies and productions and a new gym. The site for the new school is located across the street from the existing facility, adjacent to the football field. The waste treatment plant is already installed at the new location. Estimated tax increases for a $200,000 home, with a homeowner’s exemption, will be $170.00 per year. Additional funds, not included in this estimate are 1.5%, per lot, sale proceeds from developers, $750,000 matching state funds and proceeds that may result from the sale of existing school property.
You are eligible to vote for the bond if your primary residence is within the Garden Valley school district. You can register to vote at the school.
Vote on November 1st from 8:00am to 8:00pm in the Garden Valley school music room.
