Hi Bonnie,
Thanks for commenting on my site. It's easy to write about a place as great as Garden Valley. Most areas of Garden Valley are kept open on the winter making it a great place for full time residents. We have about 3,000 full time residents with another 2,000 part time. Garden Valley is certainly a full service community. Not only will we have anew school in the fall, but we are breaking ground for a new Library this summer. Our grocery store offers anything you could ever need, including a butcher shop and deli. We love the docs at the Family Medical Clinic and also at the Animal hospital. Stitch and Snip is one of the best fabric shops for 100 miles. The offer fabrics, classes, knitting supplies and scrap booking. I'd love to introduce you to Garden Valley and help you find a home here. I've been here for 22 years and can't imagine being anywhere else.

I love this site. I love the way you describe Garden Valley and especially the get ready for winter article. I am thinking of buying some property up there. There are some homes and lots just above the hiway on the kind of west side of town. Is that area plowed in the winter. Could I have a year round home up there or do you think it would be a summer home only area. I like the size of your population. Are there stores, I don't mean Walmart type but groceries, fabric and craft, gas, schools. I'll bet the trip to Boise is a nice drive.

It sounds like you love being in Garden Valley. I especially love the red barn photo. Thanks for the last few pleasant moments I was enjoying your site. Thanks, Bonnie
